ELF marble eyeshadow palette

In the sales I treated myself to ELF's 100 piece marble eyeshadow palette. I don't usually wear a lot of eyeshadow but it was half price so I figured I'd be adventurous and give a few looks a go. Here's my first five looks created with the palette, I can't wait to have another play and come up with lots more looks! With 100 colours I feel the world is my oyster!

Bronze beauty:

I love the orangey bronze colours that are in this palette, especially the metallic ones. This would make a really pretty day to evening look.

Smokin'

For this look I wanted to play around with the traditional smokey eye. I added a touch of silver to brighten the look and finished it off with the darkest black in the palette.

Green eyed monster

I love the green/ turquoise colors in this palette. I know they say you should use colours that are opposite to your eye colour to make them pop, but I still think this green eye draws loads of attention to my eye.

Ice queen

I would never ever normally wear blue eyeshadow. It's one of those colours that make me think of dodgy 80's makeup looks, but mixed with a touch of white and silver it gives an Icy almost space like touch. Mix with very minimal makeup and I think you're onto a winner.

Purple rain

Now this look is sure to make your blue/green eyes pop! I've used another touch of silver as it's so versatile to brighten any look. It also adds a really girly touch.

I think the brighter colours in the palette offer themselves up as great liners or looks for an evening. However if you're a lot more daring go for it and rock one of these looks during the day. I think the green one would look amazing on someone with bright red hair as the contrast would be crazy!

I'm still getting the hang of my eyeshadow brushes, and the palette and I can't wait to have a go at creating a few more daytime looks.

Until next time!
