My lush sale picks

The beginning of this year saw the usual January sales, but with sales being so frequent these days nothing really took my fancy. When I heard that Lush were having a sale and it dawned on me that It would be my last chance before next year to try out some christmas goodies, I had to have a piece of that bubble bath!!

I know I'm a little late in discussing January sales, but for one reason or another I've only just got my hands on my goodies! I thought I'd do a rundown of my fave bits that I picked up, sort of a mini haul if you will.

Snow Angel - Sale price £1.97

This cute little wonderful bath melt is super cute. It smells delicious and seems like the perfect treat for a January pick me up. I can't wait to try this out as I've always been really happy with Lush's bath melts as they make for a gentle and luxurious bath.

Golden Wonder - Sale Price £1.87

First of all I couldn't believe the size of this golden wonder. I must admit I'm a little frugal when it comes to my lush bath bombs, often cutting them into sections and still getting a really nice amount of bubbles. I'll have to try a little bit, but I feel like I could get three, maybe even four baths out of this one!

Shoot for the Stars - Sale Price £1.75

I loved the design of this one and when it arrived I absolutely loved the smell. I feel like this will make the perfect post long day bath buddy and send me off to the land of nod with ease.

Luxury Lush Pud - Sale Price £1.70 x 2

Now for one reason or another I ended up with two of these. Anyone else who tried to order on lush sale day will feel my pain. I tried this little beauty the other day and I felt like a child going ooooo and ahhhh at the right moments as the luminous bath fizzers hit the water. This bath bomb is sure to give you a visual treat and I can't wait to use the next one.

I ended up ordering my lush sale bits with a friend, as anyone who was online on lush sale will be able to tell you, securing one bath bomb, felt as thought we were trying to buy one direction tickets! When I finally got my order through I could've jumped for joy at a bargainous £20 each for 8 items.

What did you snap up in the lush sale?

Signature Fragrances || Review

I recently stumbled upon Signature Fragrances London a company founded on a passion for perfume. The Pure Perfume I have been sent is named Lurre* and it came in this sweet sample size, which is a super handy way to try before you buy and also great to pop in your handbag.

With hardly any alcohol the perfumes that they create are pure perfume, heavy scents that last from morning until night.

This golden scent is a blend of fruity and subtle smells which are both modern, yet unforgettable. The more I smell this perfume the more I fall in love. A perfume that lives up to its name as it 'Lurres' you in. (I know I'm so punny.)

This luxury scent is the perfect accompaniment to a little sexy black dress, as it exudes modern elegance and glamour. Another thing that struck me about this brand, is the luxurious nature of their glass bottles. Just perusing their website, I envisaged a perfume wardrobe, laid on a beautiful dressing table adorned with the brands gorgeous cut glass bottles. Every girly, girls dressing table dream.

Thank you so much to signature fragrances London for giving me the opportunity to try their gorgeous scents. If you wish to try their perfumes for yourself you can find them on their website at:

OOTD - Missguided

For christmas my boyfriend bought me this funky Missguided Ellie wool check A-line skirt. I love it so much and I like how it goes with a chunky knit or can be dressed up with a crop top for evening.

(Here comes the awkward blogger pose.)

I've teamed it with black tights and a Primark crop top here, but I'd also team it with a black knit to keep away the winter chill. For an evening I'll team it with high heels and for everyday, I'll be throwing this on with a fur gilet and some black ankle boots. Cozy and chic!

I can't believe how well the boy did at picking this skirt as I have always loved and even better, it's an absolute steal at just £18.

What's your top pick from their website right now?

Taylor Swift - Blank Space FOTD

I love Taylor swift, so when her new album 1989 landed I couldn't have been more excited. I listened to it on repeat for days, until I stumbled upon the video for her song Blank Space. All that springs to mind from the first time I saw the video was Wow. From the fashion, to the makeup and the hair I couldn't have been more excited.

I wanted to do a tutorial and filmed a video for youtube, but sadly the files deleted themselves during transfer to my iPad. I tried to recover them in vain, but a few days ago I realised I still had the photos of the look, so I thought I'd put together a little face of the day, with a list of products, so you can create the look yourself.

For this look you're going to need:

- Nars Sheer Glow foundation (my shade is Mont Blanc)
- Max factor smokey eye effect
- Rimmel lash accelerator mascara
- Daniel Sandler water colour blush in cherub
- L'oreal Collection exclusive by Blake
- Bare minerals affair to remember eye shadow palette.

I love this look and a good red lip! I really enjoyed trying to re create this as Taylor Swift is a major girl crush of mine right now. I just can't get over how on point she always looks!

2014 Beauty Faves

I thought it was about time I shared with you my 2014 Beauty Faves, but if you know me and my blog, sometimes I like to take a post and make it something that's my own.

Last year I posted a haul with a difference  where I sketched each of the products, which my readers enjoyed, so I thought I'd try it out again in the form of a faves post for 2014! I have big plans for my favourites throughout this year on my YouTube channel so keep your eyes peeled.

Neal & Wolf Indulgence Candle* - £17.95

When Neal & Wolf gave me a chance to review their indulgence candle, I couldn't wait for the chance. I loved the smell instantly. At £17.95 it's a little bit steep for your average candle, but having used this candle for a year now and still having half left I think it's well worth the money. I use this candle everytime I'm trying to relax and it's definitely my all time favourite candle.

Eucerin Hand Cream - £8.50

Over winter my hands take the brunt of the cold weather and they are left dry and often crack and bleed. This hand cream is a handbag saviour and protects my hands all year long.

Free From Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner -  £5.99

A super frizz fighting duo that smooths and softens your hair to shine bright and beautiful. With a gorgeous mango scent that smells like a yummy yoghurt I found it hard not to love these products.

Seventeen Skin Wow Glow Liquid Tan - £5.99

This little bottle of liquid gold, picks up my skin on a full day and leaves me with a golden glow. A fantastic drug store product that works even better than some of its more expensive counter parts, this has become a makeup bag staple that I use nearly every day.

Elf 100pc Eyeshadow Palette - £15.00

A palette to inspire you to be different and the palette that inspired me to post 100 different looks. A bargain at just £15 and colours with deep pigments this palette had to feature on my favourites!

Nars Sheer Glow - £31.00

My boyfriend first bought me sheer glow in Mont Blanc for my birthday last year and as a beauty bloggers favourite I was sure I was onto a winner. The silky coverage is perfect and the shade makes a great match for my pale skin.

Madame Lala Tan Light* - £36.00

A dynamic do all tan that leaves skin smoother, softer and contains anti ageing properties. Slather all over for a light sun kissed glow that will make you look like you've just stepped off a plane.

MeMeMe Correct & Perfect Concealer* - £5.99

I suffer badly with dark puffy circles so when I was offered the chance to try this product from makeup brand MeMeMe I couldn't wait. With a creamy concealer and a powder to seal the whole lot, those dark circles don't get a look in all day.

Rodial Stem cell superfood facial oil - £60 full size

rodial oil

I purchased this oil in a travel size just to try it out and I have used it every night since I got it. It leaves me with silky smooth skin and although the full bottle price is steep, I can imagine it would last a very long time and be well worth the price tag.

Zoella Bath Fizz - £5.00

Probably the most highly anticipated blogger release of the year, it can only be Zoella's beauty range. Her treats for the bath and beyond have a lovely scent, but I really fell for her fizz bar. I loved the idea that you could break it into little pieces like a chocolate bar so you don't have to use it all at once.

L'oreal Collection Exclusive Blake - £6.99

When No7 Discontinued my all time favourite lipstick, I didn't know which red lipstick to turn to next. When I stumbled upon this collection by L'oreal I found my new perfect red! It now stands proudly on my dressing table and is my go to red whenever I'm feeling extra sassy.

Lush Snow Fairy - limited edition.

Having only discovered Snow Fairy for the first time this December, I know I'm a little late to the party. I love how you can use this product to bath or shower and how it envelopes you in its marshmellow bubbly goodness. It's pink and sparkly and everything a girly shower gel should be, the only problem is it's only available for the festive season so you may have to search a little on eBay to hunt a bottle down.

I hope you enjoyed having a sneak peek at all the products I really enjoyed last year!

Until Next Time

(Disclaimer: any items marked with an asterisk were sent to me for the purpose of review, however I included them in this favourites because they were products I truly fell in love with and would buy again with my own money.)

A little post of Happiness

Every year in January, we all give ourselves aims for the new year to help us grow and improve on ourselves or on our lives from the year before and whilst I think It's great to give yourself goals to keep yourself on track, sometimes it's all too easy to get wrapped up in what you didn't like about that year and forget to be happy about what you did achieve, or what things you are grateful for. So I wanted to take 5 minutes of your time, instead of making false resolutions, to share with you five things that I am truly happy for.

Getting tonsilitis!
It sounds rather strange doesn't it, being thankful for getting a virus. But what struck me the most this time when I had tonsilitis was how much I couldn't do. I couldn't sing, I couldn't talk, one of the days I couldn't really hear because of the silly ear infection that came with it. It made me realise that we all take things such as singing, talking, hearing and sleeping (mine having been broken in a week of coughing fits) for granted! So I am so thankful that I still have all of these capabilities, and even though it sucks at the time, I'd like to thank these little moments when you realise how truly lucky you are.

I know that technology is meant to be the big bad wolf, we all forget eachother, we don't talk in person, but how truly great is technology? At the end of last year my older sister made the big move to South Africa and technology has made is slightly less painless for all of the family involved. Yes it's lovely to have the person physically there with you, but things like FaceTime and Skype mean that you can be in touch with a loved one in just a few minutes, having an insight into their day or sharing a silly face to make eachother laugh. I cherish these ten-fifteen minute conversations with my sister and I know the rest of my family do too. So I wanted to take this little moment to say Big up humans, we're doing alright!

The love that surrounds me
Whether this is from friends, family or my one and only. I know there is always someone I can count on to have me in stitches, that will wipe away my tears and will lend an ear in my times of happiness and in sadness. As I've grown older ive come to realise it's all about quality and not quantity and I think I've found some people who are real keepers.

A few years ago I couldn't go a few weeks without collapsing and whilst it might sound strange being thankful for a diagnosis of an illness, having an answer is the best thing that anyone could hope for. Whilst there are still a few complications, I am grateful for the medication that means I can drive if I want to, that I can stand in a queue for longer, that I can dance and have fun with my friends. Being diagnosed with Neurocardiogenic syncope is sometimes scary, but having an answer and knowing it wasn't all in my head, is more than good enough for me.

A healthy parent

Not to get bleak, but not too long ago, we didn't know if my mum would be left unable to talk, unable to walk, unable to move and it breaks my heart to say this, but if she would even be around. I am thankful for doctors, the NHS and researchers who came up with pioneering techniques that have supported and made my mum healthy, so that she can be a mum again and enjoy life without worry. She is the strongest, most genuine and kind person I know and I could not be more grateful that I get to have her as a mum. I'm so happy that she is still here and that my Amazing dad is by her side every step of the way.

Sometimes it's all too easy to get wrapped up in the way our lives should be, that we forget to wake up and view what our lives really are. There is terror and there is pain and there are awful things in this world, but even in some of the bleakest moments there may be a second of beauty that you can see, so take it, hold on to it and be ever thankful that it is yours.

Berry Healthy Smoothie

With everyone starting on their new year, new me philosophy's, everyone will be hunting down healthy recipes to kick start them on their journeys.

I always struggle for healthy ideas for breakfast, as I have to admit it's not my favourite meal of the day and that's why on the days I'm in a huge rush, a smoothie is the answer.

If you're not up for thinking of your own flavour combos, supermarkets have fab smoothie packs, but expect to pay more for a pre made packet. If you want to do it by yourself on the cheap, then freeze your own fresh fruit flavour combos in ziplock bags or buy frozen fruit you get for a fruit salad!

I prefer to mix mine with water, as I don't like coconut water or using sugary fruit juices. Here's a super easy recipe to get you going:

1 cup Water
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 banana

Put all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth! Pop into your favourite glass, or in a cup to go and you're on your way.

A delicious start to any day

My new favourite Perfume

For a while I'd been stuck in a perfume rut, always turning to my trusty Clarins favourite. I've never actually smelt a perfume and thought THAT is my scent and then I discovered Agent Provocateur Fatale.

Perfume is so personal and the nature of it means that it smells different to everybody.

When I recently got my hands on the Latest in Beauty: BB Dreambox 2 there was a little perfume sample inside and I was instantly in love.

Now forgive me if I start sounding like one of those adverts where the guy and the girl are in some strange story, that never really makes sense, but perfumes are hard to describe and I want to convey just how amazing this perfume is.

When you smell this perfume and close your eyes, you drift away. The smell is sensual and filled with dark glamour.

My next favourite part of this perfume is the bottle, a pale champagne coloured perfume in a faceted glass bottle with sleek black writing, it looks gorgeous on my dressing table and I couldn't have been more happy when I found it under my tree on Christmas Day.

What's your favourite perfume?

Moving forward in 2015

2014 was a strange year for me and my blog, whilst I gained a new following, built my youtube and came up with some innovative ideas, towards the end of the year I felt as though my passion had fallen flat.

The problem with starting off the year on such a high with my 100 looks series, is that the pressure to continue to keep the standard that high got to me. I felt like I HAD to post every day to be a GOOD blogger, but it wasn't the truth.

The past few days I've felt a new  passion for my blog that I haven't had for it in a few months, which I myself can see in a few rushed and lacklustre posts, mixed in with missing personal blog deadlines and almost giving up altogether.

I have ideas milling around my head left, right and centre. I want to plan posts for months in advance and spend my days tucked away learning to use my camera to its full capabilities, to share the most beautiful images I can capture in my own world. I want to create and chase adventure, to write and to share exciting and innovative ideas. I want to blog again. I do.

The past few days I've fallen in love with my blog all over again with the idea of sharing my thoughts, my experiences, my fears and my goals with people who I'd like to consider as more than readers, but instead as friends.

Stick with me, and I'll stick with you.

Until Next Time

2014 by Numbers!

Analytics are really interesting; for myself anyway. I love to find out who's reading, where they come from, what posts make you guys tick, which posts you love and keep you coming back for more.

So I thought today it would be fun to do a little post about what I have discovered about you this year, a little What She Did of numbers if you will!

First Up, my most popular posts of the year:

You guys love a bit of Home decor:

And you still haven't stopped searching for the perfect tan:

You were there when I finally hit Look 100:

And you followed it right from the start:

Youtube Stats:

In 2014 I finally took the plunge and posted a few more YouTube vids and since I've learnt a lot more about you:

7,000 of you are still hunting down the perfect contour:

94.1%  of you are females:

And my most popular viewers are aged between 18-24:

1,149 of you still follow my ramblings on Twitter:

I know this is a strange post, but I wanted to share with you, that I take as much notice of you, as I know some of you do of me and my little blog.

I just wanted to take this moment to thank all of you for taking your time to read my little ramblings, have conversations with me, sharing your thoughts with me, sending me the loveliest messages of support and just generally being there.

This year I plan to ramp things up and I hope you'll all come along for the ride.

Here's to 2015.

Until Next Time
