Why sometimes it's ok to be a little selfish

Friendship is a funny thing. We pick a human, think we like them and then we just decide to hang around with them for as long as they will have us. They are there to hold our hair back when we've had one too many and we're there to lend an ear when that guy she's seeing has been an idiot again, but as great as friendship is, when does it start to become a detriment to your well being?

Last year I found myself at an all time low. I was living in a place I didn't really like and my illness was high due to stress and worry. Yet for some reason I still found myself at the shoulder to cry on.

Whilst I would never ever turn away a friend in need, I found myself being the shoulder for everyone's problems and whilst I tried to just lend a helpful ear and advice, I found that over time it started to make me feel worse. In truth, no one offered the same in return and so I kept my own feelings to myself and just found myself building a pile of everyone else's problems.

Eventually something snapped and I decided enough was enough. I took a step back and realised something had to change. I packed my things and decided it was time to focus on me. I made the decision to move back to the place I loved and start to focus on my own well being.

It sounds selfish and I guess looking back it was, but it needed to happen. As much as we all love our friends and friendships are the foundation of our life, they should never be at a detriment to our own wellbeing and if you're struggling you can't be there to help people anyway.

I will always be there for my friends, but this year I plan to keep things at arms length and focus on what I need from life. I know this probably makes me seem entirely selfish, but sometimes in life, self love is all you need.

Primark Beauty Range

When I think of Primark, I automatically think of staple wardrobe pieces, T shirts, Vests, that kind of thing, but very rarely do I think of their beauty collection.

Recently I came across their beauty stand and couldn't help but feel intrigued by their budget beauty picks.

I opted for a contour kit, a Concealer, a lipstick and mascara all from the PS collection and I was pleasantly surprised.

Nothing in my Haul cost more than £3 each to buy and that includes the contouring pack which is three for £3. It offers an easy solution to those who wish to contour without a lot of know how. The pencil shape makes it easy to get the perfect shape and lends itself to my easy one two three contouring technique.

The lipstick offers a great colour for £1. I opted for this deep red, which was perfect for the winter months.

The mascara offers fluttery lashes and is perfect for everyday wear.

All in all this little haul cost me £6 which is perfect for the pocket money budget. Whilst the makeup products aren't the best I've ever used, for the price I was definitely impressed and for pocket money products or the odd stock up of essentials, these are great value for money and I'll definitely be topping up with more in the future.

Have you tried Primark's beauty range?

My Current Obsession - Lip Art

Recently I just can't get enough of lip art. I used to be absolutely useless as it, it was too fiddly, meant you couldn't eat or drink for ages and sometimes could take hours, but just recently it has become something of a new obsession.

The idea of taking teeny tiny brushes and painting on to a teeny tiny canvas suddenly has me hooked. My love affair started with lip artists Vladamua and GirlGreyBeauty, who if you don't follow on Instagram I implore you to head over and follow right away.

In recent weeks I've spent hours looking at art, patterns, photography and nature looking for inspiration and I've found myself hours deep into creative lip art.

I've also found a new love in trying to create art. Each piece I take photos of now I try to think of as a whole composition and I try to imagine the lip art sitting on a wall.

This 2017 I'm enjoying creating pieces more than ever and I can't wait to see what my little brain falls in love with next.

The key to success - Is making it big in blogging hard work or luck?

The age old question of blogging seems to be how do you make it big? Whether you started as a hobby or you've always had your sights set on the bigger dream, we all have to admit there's probably been a small moment of what if in our brain at one point or another. Whatever your reasons for blogging there's no right or wrong way to go about it, but sometimes I still can't help but wonder, is making it big in blogging all hard work, or is it a case of luck and being in the right place at the right time.

When I look at some of my all time favourite big bloggers, there is no denying they work their asses off to bring the best content they can. You often hear stories of working through the night and one of my favourite bloggers Em Sheldon even flew half way across the world to take part in a photo shoot for an amazing opportunity and no matter who you are you have to admit that is some serious dedication!

What I'd love to know is, what gives these bloggers their big break and at what point does it suddenly snowball?

The thing I love about blogging is that it gives women a platform to shine. So many amazing women that I admire have created and curated businesses off the back of their blogs and there isn't a day that goes by without someone in my feed landing an amazing campaign, launching a new product or going it alone and paving the way to a whole new future by crafting a brand for themselves.

Whilst every aspect of blogging requires hard work (I think we can all agree on that) some of my favourite bloggers had their big breaks from brand collaborations or Re posts from pages with large following. This is especially true in makeup and beauty blogging. One re post from the right person or brand can see your followers grow immensely overnight and see your content slowly going viral.

I love the idea that as bloggers, there is a chance for someone who lives in a small town to be plucked from obscurity and make a life for themselves doing something that they love.

Upon reflection I've decided that the ultimate key to blogging lies in hard work with a little dash of luck. If bloggers weren't working hard to create the content these brands and viral pages wanted, then they wouldn't get spotted in the first place and the luck comes in to play as being one of these chosen bloggers.

One thing that can be said for all bloggers is that we are a determined and a hard working bunch and I know as I'm sure you do too, that there isn't a day goes by that someone on your feed doesn't do something incredible that maybe that small town girl, years before, could only have dreamed of.

How I organise my time whilst blogging

If I can only take one thing from blogging, it would be my new sense of organisation. With daylight hours being short, few and far between in the winter you have to schedule in the best times to take photos, plan your posts, answer emails all in between nipping to events, scouting the web for the next new best thing and doing beauty looks in between. Here's a few tips on how I keep my blog organised, even when I'm at my busiest.

Notes -

My biggest life saver is my notes section on my phone. I use this to plan my blogs, draft my blogs and keep track of any ideas I might have. It means I can do it easily from the comfort of my sofa in front of the tele or I can take it with me on the move. I just copy and paste my latest post straight from my notes into blogger, then when I have a spare five minutes head over to blogger on my laptop and add in the photos and links and get that baby scheduled.

Apps -

I'm going to try and do a what's on my phone post next month, but some of the apps that make my life a whole lot easier whilst blogging on the move are: VSCO, Blogger and imovie all alongside the more obvious Twitter and instagram apps. The more you can do on the move, the more organised you can be when you're short for time or stuck on a daily commute.

Make a back up plan -

If I'm planning a vlog, I try to always draft a blog on the same subject. We've all been there when the tech lets us down or something gets in the way of uploading our latest video. Obviously you can't do this for vlogs and the blog doesn't even have to be about the same topic, but if you have brand deadlines to keep, or you made a promise somewhere along the line, having an emergency post or two will always work in your favour when "disaster" strikes.

Plan, plan, plan

If you're not a planner and you prefer to wing it, then don't worry, just do whatever works for you. I prefer to have my content planned one month in advance and leave one gap per week incase of any new launches, events or any last minute additions that can be squeezed in at a moments notice. This means I can keep track of what I have coming up and I can let brands know of campaigns that might be relevant to them coming up. I usually set aside one hour a week to go over the plan and just check everything is in order and no releases are missing.

Filing

I have three files. One for press releases I've just received, one for press releases that are posted drafts and one for completed posts. This gives me an idea of how I'm doing with collaboration posts and helps me keep track of anything that's not finished. It also means I can give PRs a heads up when a post is completed. I also keep a small list of parcels I'm expecting with the date of the email, there's nothing worse than parcels arriving at your door and forgetting who you promised what to and having to scroll through your emails to check.

These tips are by no means gospel and everyone has their own ways of keeping on top of things, but I enjoy reading these sorts of posts and thought I'd pop in a few tips for anyone looking for new ideas.

What's your best tips for staying organised?

The Betty Box - A Monthly Period Subscription Box

That time of the month, Mother Nature knocking, got the painters in, the faithful pyramid...you've heard all of the names, but as women we all get them. For some of us they are little more than a monthly inconvenience and for others they are the bane of our month, but this month a little parcel dropped on my door mat that made this a whole lot better.

The Betty Box is a period subscription service box filled with everything you could need to get you through, including monthly period essentials, brilliant beauty products, sweet treats for those much needed pick me ups and a few other bits.

When I opened my box I was surprised at how much it contained. Designed to fit through 94% of letter boxes, the box should arrive on your doorstep with ease.

The bright colours of the packaging offered an instant bright pick me up. With one section for now, a section for later, another for night and a final section just for you, it was easy to see that the box had been well thought out.

My favourite part was the for you box filled with lots of treats to give you that much needed pick me up. This box was jam packed with treats for your skin, tasty treats and fun beauty pieces to play with. Inside each box is a booklet which gives you a run down of all the items in the box.

How it works

You can select your which tampons and towels you want each month. Select your delivery date and then sit back and relax until your box arrives. You can get your first box for just £6.99 online now here.

Koko Couture Extensions

Last week I saw some scissors and cut off all my hair to the shortest it's been in ages and whilst there is something I love about having a sassy bob, sometimes only mermaid hair will do, so when the lovely people over at Koko Couture offered to send me some of their hair extensions to try, I couldn't wait to find out what they would be like.

I opted for the Lena style in shade California blonde which turned out to be the perfect match for my hair.

Made from synthetic, heat resistant fibre the extensions actually look surprisingly natural. With a slight curl at the end the 22 inch style offer the mermaid hair of dreams and will leave you wanting to swish all day everyday.

If you have thick and short hair like me, I'd recommend buying two packs or you may have to use grips and clip hair to create the perfect style.

I was really pleased with how they looked and swiftly tried out two different styles.

Style 1 - Half up half down

A style I really love with hair extensions is the half up half down method. It leaves your hair looking really natural as you can pin any obvious short pieces back leaving your newly long flowing locks on display.

Style 2 - The pony

Who hasn't wanted to rock a long lengthy pony tail? After popping your hair into a pony tail with a thin bobble, use your hair extensions in reverse and clip them into your pony. Take a pretty scrunching, or twirl the hair around the top section of the newly created pony to hide the bobby pins and there you have it, a super swishy stylish ponytail.

What's your favourite way to wear extensions?

Lush Boxing Day Haul

If you didn't get wrapped up in the Lush Boxing Day sale, were you even on Twitter? Turns out people are a bit cray cray for a half price bath bomb or two.

This year I took the less stressful route and opted to call Lush direct. The kind and friendly team told me they'd been having a nightmare morning with rude phone calls left, right and centre and I couldn't help but feel sorry for them, so I chatted to them about their Christmas and New Years plans, whilst we selected the bath bombs.

In the end I told them all I really wanted was a big bottle of snow fairy and that they could surprise me with the rest to the value of £20. It was lovely to receive the parcel and only know a couple of the items I was getting, so here's a little Lush haul of what I received.

Snow Fairy

What a Boxing Day if not filled with panic over trying to stock up on enough snow fairy to get you through the year. The funny thing about this one was that I ordered 500g only for my brother to arrive the day after Boxing Day with a second bottle, so now I'm well and truly stocked and I'll be smelling sweet for months.

Father Christmas

Ok so these are more festive that most, but why not bring a little bit of festivity into the new year with these Father Christmas bath bombs.

Northern Lights

My favourite of all the bath bombs I received, Northern Lights spins and fizzes your bath into a stunning display of pinks, purples, yellows and blues.

Star Dust

A simple elegant bath bomb, star dust offers an elegant lightly perfumed scent. Whilst it doesn't create a "party" in the bath, it's perfect for those relaxing days when you don't want too much of a fuss.

Yoganuary - My fitness plans for January

January, the month that the new year new me mentality is everywhere. Whether you're embarking on a new mindset, setting yourself some new goals, want to start a new healthy lifestyle or want to get fit, in January you can find inspiration everywhere.

This January I'm desperate to work towards a healthier lifestyle again. 2016 to be honest, was quite frankly a bit of a mess. I ate whatever I wanted, I didn't work out at all and I was pretty poorly throughout. Towards the end of 2016 I started to look into how I could change my lifestyle and help improve it.

My first plan is to make some dietary changes which I've researched and can help towards me feeling better, but my main aim this year is to get back into doing Yoga.

If you're a bit of a Yoga novice like me then Cat Meffan over at Imperfect Matter has created Yoganuary, a 31 day yoga challenge that contains a month of videos with moves, techniques and variations, perfect for if you're just starting out.

I know we're already in our second week of January, but it's never too late to start and why not make it yoguary, yarch and yogpril (ok those sounded better in my head.)

My point is, no matter what happened last year, if you want to do something to make yourself feel great this year, find something you love, enjoy and makes you feel great.

I love Yoga because not only is it great exercise, but it helps me think and helps me to de stress. You can find a routine to fit your mood and you don't even need to leave the comfort of your own home if you're not up for it, which it perfect for someone like me who often finds their energy levels going up and down.

Whatever you plan to do this year, good luck sticking to it, we can do it!

Until Next Time

New Year, New Goals

With 2016 now well and truly dusted, many of us will be putting it to the back of our minds and thinking of the months ahead. For me the start of this year means uncertainty, with no job, having moved back home and basically feeling back to square one. If you're part of the I hate the new year new me philosophy, then look away now, because this post is all about my plans and goals ahead. Whilst 2016 may have been rocky, I'm about to grab 2017 by the balls and show it who's boss.

So what's the plan? Well here's a few things I'd like to achieve by the time 2018 comes a knocking.

1. Find a New Job - Because something has to keep me in makeup and pay the bills. I love working, sounds lame, but when you have a Chronic illness the idea of not working pains you and you strive to be able to work everyday. I've always had a strong work ethic and so I can't wait to get back into full time work and get back into the flow of things.

2. Move back to Shrewsbury - I love Shrewsbury; so it's not a huge city and I basically feel like an old grandma for saying this, but I just love it.  For socialising there's nice restaurants, places to drink and plenty to do in walking distance. On weekends there's plenty of countryside walks close by and it's always felt like home. I can't wait to hopefully move back there and get settled in.

3. Go to Iceland, the place, not the supermarket - first I will need to renew my passport, but when I do, I'm planning a trip to Iceland. It's been on my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember and I haven't been on a holiday in 3 years, so this year I'm going to save hard and take the leap and go on an adventure. Travel buddies apply within.

4. Learn to love myself. In 2016 I spent my time hating who I was. I constantly questioned everything I did, made myself feel bad for things I couldn't control and by the end of it I genuinely hated my life and who I was. This year I'm going to take the time to appreciate myself, the things I've achieved  so far in my life and to be honest, give myself a break!

5. Go on a makeup course - I want to learn to perfect my lines, learn how to do prosthetics properly and learn more. I'm a constant learner. If I'm not researching something or trying to gain a qualification in something, then am I even me?

6. Get organised with blogging - Slap dash just won't do anymore, not if I want to take my passion seriously, so this year I plan to make schedules and stick to them as best as I can. I want to work harder than ever to bring content that you guys love and enjoy and hopefully in time my audience will grow with me.

7. Find love. Sounds a bit strange when you type it like that as it's not something you can force to happen, but this year I'd like to be more open to the idea of it. Last year I was quite cynical, closed off and untrusting. This year i'd like to take a step back and go with the flow and see where things take me.

8. Start an art Journal - I've never been good at keeping diaries and I suppose a blog is a diary of sorts, but this year I'd like to let my creativity go wild and create an art Journal filled with quotes and sayings and stories I love. I've planned a whole blog post on this for later in the month so I'll go more in detail then.

9. Learn to use my camera properly - I didn't spend all that money to use my camera on auto for all these years, so this year I plan to sit down and actually learn how to use it properly.

10. Save for a vlogging camera and vlog more moments! I want to be able to look back in years to come and think wow, I did that and vlogs are a perfect way to do that. I always get a bit jealous when I see other peoples vlogs documenting moments of their life and I'd like to start one before it's too late!

11. Find something to be thankful for every month - Whilst it may seem like a given, with all the doom and gloom in the world it's easy to just focus on the negatives. So this year once a month I plan to think of something I'm grateful for.

Goals don't have to be huge or life changing, they just have to be something you want to achieve. What are your goals for the new year?

Until Next Time

Art Journal - A New Year Goal

This year one of my goals is to keep an art journal. As much as I love my blog it doesn't give me the opportunity to sketch, cultivate quotes and tell stories in a way that I love. I thought that starting an art journal would open another door and give me another opportunity to fill another creative hole. As much as I enjoy my blog, I miss sketching. I used to draw fashion images and design dresses and I loved it.

I also get moments of creativity that I cant draw on my face or type out into a blog and so I thought this would be a great way to track my thoughts and feelings of the year in a creative way.

I always kept an art journal at school and I plan to fill this one with quotes I love, short stories and thoughts of the day as a way to keep me motivated throughout the year. I love the idea that as well as having a digital space, this will be something I can hold in my hands and flick through whenever the mood takes me.

I can carry it on train journeys to while away the hours, pack it on trips to document moments I've loved and have it with me so that I can fulfil my creative need whatever I'm doing.

Hopefully at some point I'll get a polaroid so I can snap things and stick them in if the mood so takes me.

What's one creative thing you'd love to do this year?

Until Next Time

Lily Lolo - Mineral Makeup

Lily Lolo are an up and coming British makeup brand who specialise in high performance, high quality mineral based beauty products which are free from parabens, synthetic perfumes or dyes.

I've worked with this brand previously on my 31 days of Halloween project and they have kindly recently sent me samples of their new mineral base range.

Lily Lolo are offering customers the unique opportunity to match their shade without any hassle by offering samples to your own front door. You can email or call them and inform them of your current foundation shades, send them photos and they will select shades that they think will be a perfect match. Each mineral foundation sample has a cost of £1.49 which is great, because I've personally had about 4/5 wears out of each little pot. A small amount goes a long way.

In the collection I was sent their BB cream, their mineral foundation, mineral concealer and finishing powder, which is the perfect way to create a flawless finish without the weight of traditional makeup formulas.

The 'Lo' Down

The BB cream

Available in three shades the Lily Lolo BB cream is the perfect base to perfect your skin tone. Either to be worn alone or as a staring point with the other products the BB cream has a light and sheer finish which blurs imperfections and is packed with nourishing and anti ageing ingredients. This one is ideal for those days in the summer where you don't want to wear a full face of makeup, but still want to feel a little made up.

Mineral Foundation

Available in eighteen shades the Lily Lolo mineral foundation offers a beautifully light sheer coverage. Finely milled the formula buffs into the skin effortlessly whilst giving a beautiful even finish.

Mineral Concealer

Available in four shades, I was most surprised by the coverage of the mineral Concealer. Having never used one before I couldn't believe how well it covered the bags under my eyes. The slightly heavier coverage effortlessly conceals blemishes and skin imperfections in a natural and delicate way.

Finishing Powder

The silky soft and delicately light diffusing powder sets makeup in place providing extra staring power. I tried the translucent silk shade which offered a beautiful and delicate illumination on the skin.

Have you ever tried a mineral base before?

Skinade - Does it actually work?

As a beauty blogger we often get asked to try weird and wonderful things. Just before Christmas I was offered a course of Skinade, a drink that promised to increase the collagen in your skin, thus making it smoother, more youthful and 'bouncy.' When I first got the email I have to admit my scepticism but after reading lots of reviews where the product was shown to actually work, I couldn't resist the opportunity to give it a try. Still not quite convinced I embarked upon a months plan to see what the fuss was about.

Marketed as a "multi-award winning, natural peach and mangosteen flavoured anti-ageing collagen drink containing a formulation of active ingredients that aim to boost the bodies natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid," you can see why I was a little sceptical.

What does it do?

The drink promises to deliver essential micronutrients in liquid form and aims to rebuild the collagen matrix of the skin. It aims to combat the signs of ageing by reducing oxidative stress, increasing moisture and hydration whilst increasing natural hyaluronic acid production within the dermal layer of the skin. As a result it promises to restore the skins youthful appearance, improve skin tone, texture, hydration and promotes skin suppleness. Quite bold claims from a little drink in a bottle that looks like something that would sit happily on your dressing table.

My thoughts

I really really wanted to write a post about how this didn't work, but I really can't. I drank the drinks religiously for a month and I did actually notice a difference. My skin was clearer, my face was smooth and I felt a bit "glowy."

Whilst I'd advice you not to smell the drink (it smells disgusting.) The taste actually isn't too bad, especially when chilled. I drank one every morning with breakfast and after the first two weeks I started to notice a difference.

It could be a coincidence, but I also noticed my nails started to feel stronger, my hair grew quicker and I got compliments about how glowy my skin was.

For £99 the 30 day supply is a little steep and shouldn't be taken on lightly, but if you love to be at the forefront of new and exciting beauty advances, then you will probably love this product.

What's your skin secret?

Centrosmiles - Teeth Whitening at home

I've always wanted whiter teeth for as long as I can remember, so when Centrosmiles contacted me and asked me if I'd like to try their at home whitening kit I couldn't resist giving it a try.

The kit contains everything you could need to get whiter teeth from the comfort of home and fits easily into your everyday lifestyle.

How it works

1. The kit contains an arched tray in which you apply the oral gel solution. Once it's in use your finger to gently mould it to your teeth.

2. Insert the mouth tray into your mouth and check it's firmly positioned against your teeth.

3. Switch the light on and sit back and relax for 7-10 minutes and then rinse your mouth with water.

Each kit contains enough solution for 6 days of whitening, which is perfect if you have a specific date in mind.

My teeth were already fairly white when I began, so whilst the results weren't drastic, I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. The results were natural and I began to notice after just one session.

Each kit contains:

3 X Whitening Gel (3ml per Tube)
1 X High Quality Design single arch trays
1 X Mini Cold Light Whitening Lamp
1 X Professional 3-D Teeth Shade Guide

Is it worth the money?

At $54.97 this kits actually quite cheap compared to some kits I've seen in the past. It also arrived fairly quick and I've been incredibly pleased with the results and I would definitely purchase it again in the future if my teeth needed it!

Heaven Scent - My Perfume Collection

I've never had a lot of perfumes. I used to go round to my friends houses and their dressing tables used to be full of exciting and expensive scents. Before now the thought of it has never appealed to me, preferring to spend my money elsewhere on makeup and clothes and opting to buy a body shop scent.

Whilst I still to this day can't get enough of the reasonably priced Body Shop favourites, this Christmas and sale season I treated myself to a few new scents so I can see in the first part of this year smelling heavenly.

The Body Shop - Black Musk Fragrance Mist.

Lighter than its eau de parfum counterpart the Black Musk Fragrance Mist offers a sensual scent on a budget price. With sweet notes of bambinella pear, pink pepper and bergamot this scent is contrasted with the fierce and stand out scent of black musk. I wear this a lot and when I do it's often complimented. Perfect for those who prefer a heavier scent at £7.50 a pop it's perfect for every day wear and those times when you want to feel beautiful on a budget.

CKin2U

A Christmas gift from my mum an dad, CKin2U is always a favourite of mine. With base notes of red cedar and vanilla this perfume has a fresh and floral scent to it. Something I like to wear for a day time event like lunch with the girls, this perfume is a reasonably priced staple featuring scents of fresh pink grapefruit and sugar orchid.

Ariana Grande - Sweet Like Candy

A new discovery of mine, this sweet scented eau de toilette is the ultimate girly dressing table bottle. The scent features top notes of sugar frosted blackberries and fresh Italian bergamot that lead to a heart of cassis cream and fluffy marshmallow, ending with the sweet scent of vanilla. A scent which seems to be a firm favourite in my collection.

Rituals

Finally I treated myself in the sales to some lovely Rituals miniatures for events. The perfect sized bottles for a clutch bag these three scents are truly beautiful. First up Eau Des Indes offers a mix of fresh and warm, mixing sparkling Ginger, citrusy Bergamot and breezy White Tea. In a sweet green bottle this is my favourite of the three and I'm undecided as whether I should save the best until last. Second of the trio is the slightly heavier Eau D'Orient. With the scent of sharp woody aromas and the sweetness of grassy moist herbs, you'll find a subtle layer of spicy Persian Pepper and hints of incense. The prettiest of the three Fleurs De L'Himalaya Is as beautiful as the bottle in which it's housed. For the floral perfume lovers, the powerful scent of Wild Orchid fuses effortlessly with the sophistication of Himalayan Peony and rounds off with a subtle touch of Cotton Musk. The perfect feminine scent that lasts all day.

What's your favourite perfume?

Bloggers to watch in 2017

With every year the blogging game gets harder, slightly more saturated, better and bigger than ever before. So what does it take to stand out from the crowd? I've put together a list of my bloggers & vloggers to watch in 2017.

Girl Boss

Already the queen of uniting bloggers through the blogging gals network, Zaineb of Zeena Xena offers a look into her stylish wardrobe. As well as looking on point in every single photo, she also offers great advice on navigating collaborations with brands and offers an incredibly positive outlook on everything she does. One to watch for fashion, I see big things for Zeineb and blogging gals in 2017.

The Dating Guru Every Girl Needs

It's been a great year for Vix Meldrew, scooping an award at the Bloggers Blog Awards and featuring in Blogosphere magazine to name but a few of the achievements of her year. Vix steps the line between that honest mate that will tell you your bum looks big and being overly honest about that guy that isn't calling you back. She gives the 101 on every single gals needs and manages to keep a refreshing and funny look at modern dating. Join her for Vix Swipes, where she live tweets her Tinder finds and matches for a mid week giggle.

The Vloggers Vlogger

The girl next door meets bubbly and relatable in Brogan. Already achieving great things in 2016, like scooping up a Cosmopolitan Influencer Award, I can see Brogan going even further in 2017. With a vivacious and infectious personality, it's easy to see why people take to Brogans can do positive attitude and I think 2017 will only see her following and achievements grow.

Fashion Favourite

With multiple big fashion brand collaborations under her belt, 2016 was an amazing year for Amy over at Salt and Chic. Not only did she win an award, but this down to earth and quite frankly wonderful girl is my fashion blogger to watch for 2017. With a quirky edge and major style credentials she's definitely one to follow.

The Girl Next Door

What is not to love about Megan from Thumbelina Lillie. Probably one of the sweetest bloggers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, Megan's blog grows from strength to strength every year. You might have even seen her beaut face gracing some makeup stands in Boots this year and I can only see things getting even bigger in 2017.

Who's your blogger to watch in 2017?

Until Next Time
