Festival Styling - The khaki jacket - AD

Festival season is well and truly upon us, with the biggest and best festivals on their way.

When it comes to festival styling, I feel like there's two camps. The one I like to call mermaids, who are all glitter and sequins, and the laid back crew who don the "oh I just threw this on" and look so effortlessly stylish it hurts.

For the latter bunch, it's all khaki jackets, ripped shorts and casual t's that make them look so chic.

Mainiere De Voir offer stylish and unique khaki jackets with patches for that little bit of something extra to take your outfit from now to festival wow.

To me a great jacket is a festival essential, offering cover from the elements should it rain, whilst still keeping stylish.

With an amazing collection of fashionable and unique pieces Mainiere De Voir hits the festival spot. See my festival style crushes below.

Clive Christian Perfume Review - Ad

I love nothing more than discovering a new perfume. To me scents are transformative and they take me to an exact moment in my life.

When I smell the perfumes of my past I can tell you where I was when I wore it, the moment in my life I can pin point. Who and what it reminds me of and that is what is so special about perfume. It makes you feel good, but it also holds memories.

Which brings me to the latest fruity perfumes to land on my doorstep from Clive Christian.

The Story

With a background in luxury interiors spanning from the 1970s, Clive Christians pursuit of true luxury took another path when he stumbled upon a small perfume house in Mayfair, London. Upon discovering that this company had once been so noteable that Queen Victoria had granted the use of the image of her crown on the bottles, Clive Christian set to work to restore the perfume house to its former glory.

The Noble Collection

Created in homage to the history and flora of a Queen Anne Garden, Noble VII combines the romance of traditional English gardens with rich and exotic flowers that were sought after by fashionable nobility of the time.

Rock Rose

The powerfully fragrant Rock Rose has top notes of citrus, warmed with black pepper and blends with a base of amber, cocoa & patchouli.

The deep and masculine fragrant Rock Rose opens with its top notes of citrus combined with black pepper that is distinctly classic. A powerful fragrance in its own right, this scent is sure to impress for its unique and obvious quality, which it should for its £350 price tag.

Cosmos Flower

The sumptuous scent of cosmos flower blends with bittersweet cocoa, sensual jasmine and fruity plum giving depth & integrity to this modern gourmande.

A beautiful fragrance reminiscent of some of my favourite fragrances on the market, this strong feminine fragrance is sure to stand the test of time. Beautifully classic, it's the perfect sensual evening scent for the summer months ahead.

Again with a £350 price tag it's a bit steep, but the quality ingredients and knowledge are plain to see and so I'm sure I'll be picking up the sample packs for my clutch bag again in the near future.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte Addiction Collection Review & Swatches

If you follow my blog, you'll know that back in February I was lucky enough to be part of the L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Matte Addiction Collection social campaign. It was when I got my first look at the collection and a few of the beautiful shades. Shortly after I treated myself to a few more colours as I loved the formula, so this week when a beautiful box filled with each shade from the collection landed on my doorstep I couldn't have been more excited.

To me lipstick is my holy grail. When asked what one makeup item I couldn't give up, lipstick would win every time.
This beautiful collection of lipsticks offers 16 stunning moisturising shades perfect for any occasion.
Enriched with pure soft pigments, with jojoba and camellia oils the formula gives intense Matte colour without drying the lips.
My personal favourites from the collection have to be shades Hype, Brick Vintage and Moka Chic.

Swatches
As you can see from the swatches below there's quite the colour spectrum from delicate nudes, rosy pinks, radiant reds, deep purples and a striking midnight blue.

Shades left to right - 633 Moka chic, 640 Erotique, 636 Mahogany studs, 634 Greige perfecto, 103 Blush in a rush, 104 Strike a rose, 101 Candy stiletto, 241 Pink-a-porter.

227 Hype, 346 Scarlet silhouette, 347 Haute rouge, 348 Brick vintage, 349 Paris cherry, 463 Plum Tuxedo, 430 Mon jules, 900 Midnight in Paris.
Owning quite a few of the L'Oréal Color Riche collection already, these little beauties will sit more than comfortably in their new home and I can't wait to play with all the new shades!
Which is your favourite shade from the collection?

Swimwear for a Bigger Bust

I don't know about you, but whenever it comes time to buy new underwear or swimwear, it brings me out in a sweat. The panic of not finding my size or anything flattering with enough hold, is enough to put me in a bad shopping mood. It's been years since I've invested in some new swimwear, but my new love of swimming three times a week and my recent holiday meant it was time to look into some new pieces. Between tackling the high street and being gifted some lovely new pieces to review, I've found four perfect pieces of swimwear that took me through my holiday and beyond.

Gottex Profile Marble Halter Neck Swimsuit

This stunning swimsuit offers everything for a day of activity. Worn to a swimming park, the suit offered all the support and coverage I could need to enjoy the day whilst looking chic and stylish. Whilst the swimsuit offers full coverage, it's flattering cut outs in sheer mesh give a modern twist to this costume which could otherwise have become quite frumpy in its style. This beauty is fairly pricey at £104 this swimsuit is a treat to most, but for its quality, if you're a regular swimmer, it's definitely worth the price tag. You can find this stunning costume online here.

Pour Moi Checkers Hidden Wire Halter Triangle Bikini Top & Bottoms

When you have a slightly larger bust and a smaller back it can be difficult to find bikini tops specific to your size. Queue badly tied and badly fitting triangle bikinis that do nothing for support. This beautiful vintage inspired bikini from Pour Moi made me feel feminine and happy to strut my stuff on the rocky beaches and beyond. You can find the top and bottom at UK Swimwear.

Mermaid on Duty Swimsuit

This tongue in cheek number is an absolute bargain at just £10 from Asda. With a gorgeous red colour, sure to make you stand out on the beach and the perfect slogan for all you undercover mermaids out there, it's hidden bust support gives that little extra coverage us girls on the top heavy side need. Get this little beauty here

Palm Tree Swimsuit

Feeling cheeky? Then this little number is for you! With two perfectly placed bright pink palm trees this navy swimsuit offers all the coverage whilst being fun at the same time. At just £12 this is another perfect bargain for your holiday packing from Asda. You can find it in your local Asda or order it online here
