My top 5 Red Lipsticks

If you read my blog, you’ll know that most of my Beauty posts involve a red lipstick. It’s my favourite beauty staple and the perfect pick me up for those days where I’m feeling a bit pale and need a pop of colour.
I wanted to start a new series with my top 5’s in the beauty world. So expect to see everything from my top 5 mascaras to my top 5 tans over the next few months! I plan to post these every Wednesday, so keep an eye out if you’re after some new goodies, or if you just want the justification that your new £20 tan was definitely worth it.
Now onto the lipsticks.

L’oreal Colour Riche collection exclusive Pure Reds – Blake:
I’ve featured this gorgeous lipstick on my blog before, but I just can’t get enough of it. It’s such a beautiful colour and so bright. I love how the packaging is luxurious but it’s still a budget buy at only £6.99.
Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick 107:
This is one of my fave reds for when I want to out my inner ‘rock goddess’ even if only in my mind! I’ll usually pair this with favourite leather jacket and lashings of attitude. Not as matte as it says on the tin, but I don’t mind as it doesn’t dry out my lips. A go to winter shade, not a bad little gem for only £5.49.
Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick 110:

Rimmel strikes again with this bright coral red. It’s a great spring lipstick. I like to pair this with a blue eyeliner for a bright colour clash, or keep it simple with rosey cheeks and barely there mascara. RRP £5.49.
Daniel Sandler Micro-Bubble Micro Red:
I’d heard a lot about Daniel Sandler, the british makeup artist through Twitter and other beauty bloggers so I was keen to give some of his highly regarded products a go. This is a super bright pillar box red with a smooth texture and super staying power. This often comes with me as a clutch bag staple on girls nights out. Purchased for £11.92 at
MUA LUXE Velvet Lips Reckless:
Ok so it’s not technically a lipstick…but it would be stupid of me not to include the cheapest of the bunch at only £3. Simply a bargain, this velvety textured matte look lip laquer is simply beautiful. Swipe on once and it will pretty much last you all night with the odd touch up if you’re drinking!
I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to include lip swatches in this post as I know how people loathe wrist swatches, but sadly when I wanted to post this, a huge spot decided it wanted to reside on my face, right by my lips for the near future and I’m not a huge fan of photo shop when you’re trying to show off a product, so without further adieu:
