January, the month that the new year new me mentality is everywhere. Whether you’re embarking on a new mindset, setting yourself some new goals, want to start a new healthy lifestyle or want to get fit, in January you can find inspiration everywhere.

This January I’m desperate to work towards a healthier lifestyle again. 2016 to be honest, was quite frankly a bit of a mess. I ate whatever I wanted, I didn’t work out at all and I was pretty poorly throughout. Towards the end of 2016 I started to look into how I could change my lifestyle and help improve it.

My first plan is to make some dietary changes which I’ve researched and can help towards me feeling better, but my main aim this year is to get back into doing Yoga.

If you’re a bit of a Yoga novice like me then Cat Meffan over at Imperfect Matter has created Yoganuary, a 31 day yoga challenge that contains a month of videos with moves, techniques and variations, perfect for if you’re just starting out.

I know we’re already in our second week of January, but it’s never too late to start and why not make it yoguary, yarch and yogpril (ok those sounded better in my head.)

My point is, no matter what happened last year, if you want to do something to make yourself feel great this year, find something you love, enjoy and makes you feel great.

I love Yoga because not only is it great exercise, but it helps me think and helps me to de stress. You can find a routine to fit your mood and you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your own home if you’re not up for it, which it perfect for someone like me who often finds their energy levels going up and down.

Whatever you plan to do this year, good luck sticking to it, we can do it!
